Natural weight lost is best to keep fat off and the weight off.  Most diets are often fads that fade quickly, and any weight loss that you see is usually weight loss from water loss.  Once you are off the program, you usually gain the weight right back, and you are back on a diet program.  Also, if you read the fine print, it usually says that diet and exercise is required to obtain results.  Well, duh!  With diet and exercise, anyone can lose weight!</p>
<p>Knowing that you will have to diet and exercise anyway, why not do it for cheaper rather than paying a company.  First, you need to find an area where you can dedicate to exercise.  This does not mean that you have to find a gym, but finding a track in order to jog or run is great.  Walking and jogging for 20 to 30 minutes a day is best for beginners.  This will get you moving and burning calories.  Remember to take water with you so that you can keep yourself hydrated.  Even with walking, you will sweat and lose water.</p>
<p>Now that exercise is out of the way, you want to watch what you are consuming.  You have to watch what you eat.  Remember portion control.  Eat only what you need, and not what you want.  You should burn more calories than you take in, in order to lose weight.  If you think that by working out your abs and still eating the same amount of food will tone your stomach, you are misconceived.  You need to put that fat elsewhere, and in order to lose fat, you need to consume less calories so that you can burn fat.  </p>
<p>Try to avoid pre-packaged food because these foods usually contain “empty calories” or additional calories that you do not need.  Stay away from fried foods.  After you can control your diet, you can begin to see results.  Again, remember to stay hydrated, and if you feel tempted to eat more, try drinking a glass of water first. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class="none"><div class="g-plusone" data-href="http://lwleaders.com/uncategorized/stress-and-how-to-de-stress" size="standard" count="true"></div></div><p>Stress in the 21<sup>st</sup> century seems like it is something that is prevalent in our lives all the time, and also found in younger people too.  When you ask people about stress, most likely they will say that they have stress and that it is bad.  However, some might say that they have good stress.</p>
<p>Stress affects people in different ways.  Some stress is actually good for you.  The strem stress means that you are faced with a challenge and your body adapts to the change.  These are involuntary changes that enable you to “fight” or “flight” (work through the tough times, or run away from it).</p>
<p>Now, here is an example of stress occurring.  Imagine that you were walking in the early morning and saw a wolf right in front of you.  Your body will respond to that stress by boosting your adrenaline and most likely you would either run (faster than normal) because of your increased heart rate and breathing.  With the increased blood flow, it enables you to think clearly and either you would outrun the wolf, or you would be in the right mind to be out of harms way, or pick something up that will help you to defend yourself.  After the wolf runs away or gives up chasing you, your body returns back to normal.  Normal breathing, heart rate, etc.</p>
<p>This rarely happens, and this is usually not the stress that most 21<sup>st</sup> century people are used to.  The stress in our lives are chronic stresses that are constantly there and our body has no way of returning back to equilibrium.  These stresses are job stress, relationships, financial stability, family, school, the economy, etc.  Prolonged stress contributes to illnesses such as adrenal malfunction, insomnia, hear problems, emotional problems, eating disorders, and much more including autoimmune disease where the body attacks itself.</p>
<p>Some ways to de-stress is the following:</p>
<ol>
<li>You touch the area just outside of your eyes, like you were smoothing out your bangs if you had hair in the front, and also smoothing your hair over your ears.  Again if you had hair on your sides.  If not, you can still do it.  The benefit of this motion is that no one will know what you are doing because it just looks like you are smoothing out your hair.  You can do this at school, work, and even in public. Make sure to take some deep breaths as well</li>
<li>This next de-stress method is where you place your palm on your forehead and the other palm on the bump on the back of the head.  Hold for a few minutes while you take deep long breaths.  This is good for helping with a headache or you have dangerous emotions such as anger or fear.  This is a good way to help you remember thing you have forgotten too.  This is great to do to reach an equilibrium before bed time and or after waking up.</li>

<p>Most people are afraid of failure.  Most people think that entrepreneurship is too risky.  But, when you think about it, what is not risky these days?</p>
<p>If you work for someone, that itself is risky.  When do you know if you are going to get laid off, fired, something is going to happen on the job that will put you off of work?  Job security is almost zilch.  With today’s economy, any company may get downsized.</p>
<p>If you think certain industries are not risky, think again.  If you think about business, risky.  Graphic design – hard to get into, but once you’re in, risky.  If people do not like your work, you are out of the business.  Teaching?  Risky.  Teachers are getting laid off all of the time.  Retail? Risky.  As said before, downsizing can happen to any company right now.</p>
<p>Risk is just a natural part of life.  It is something that everyone is going to have to “risk” and hope for the best.  Why avoid entrepreneurship for the risk when everything bears such a risk?</p>
<p>The best thing to do is to learn from your mistakes and fix it and get back on your feet.  If you fall, and fall hard, get up.  If you don’t get up, you fail permanently.  If you get back up, you can try, try again.</p>

Here are some tips to get a ‘leg up’ on other racers.</p>
<p>Marathons demand a lot of energy. Without proper nutrition or hydration, you risk your body of illness or injury. To make sure you have enough energy to take you to the finish line, follow these guidelines.</p>
<p>If you are going to run for half and hour to about an hour, you should take in 18 calories per pound of weight. If you are going to run for 1 to 1.5 hours, you should take in about 20 calories per pound of your weight. 1.5 to 2 hours, 24 calories per pound of your weight. 2 to 3 hours, 30 calories per pound of your weight.</p>
<p>Also, you need enough carbs to keep your running more than an hour. 30-60 grams of carbs should be good. Sports stores have bars, gels, drinks, and even jelly beans to give your carbs.</p>
<p>Protein is another part of a marathoner’s diet. This helps to repair and build up more muscle. 1.2 to 1.4 g of protein should be consumed per kg of weight per day. But, no more than 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight per day.</p>
<p>Avoid eating high fiber foods the night before the race or you may feel uncomfortable during the race due to cramps from your intestines.</p>
<p>Water is the next important thing to take. Follow these guidelines for liquids.<br />
Two hours before your exercise, drink 16-20 oz of water (2-3 cups) and another 7-10 oz (about 1 cup) 10-20 minutes prior to your exercise.</p>
<p>Drink another cup of water every quarter hour, and if you decide to work out longer than one hour, make sure you drink a sports drink with carbs.</p>
<p>After working out, if you lost any weight, replace each pound lost with another 3 cups of water. You can always check to see if you are dehydrated by looking at your urine. If it is a dark yellow, you need more water. If there is a hint of yellow, you are good.</p>

It was a dream before, but now it is almost impossible to be a home owner.  Fortunately, we still have our dream to be a successful business owner.  This is still alive and well.  About eight to nine million Americans have started their own business recently.</p>
<p>Starting a business takes lots of time and thinking.  Here are some things that you might have not thought about, but keep it in mind.</p>
<p>First, if you are working for yourself, you know that there is no benefits.  No health insurance, or no pension.  Oh, and no sick days either.  However, the good thing is you no longer need to *cough* cough your way out of work.</p>
<p>1.	If you are just starting a business, you can no longer call someone to help you with computer problems, or asking another department about a question you have.  This can be a good or bad thing.  Bad thing is that any professional help you may need is going to cost you.  However, the good thing is that you no longer need to go to someone for help with something because you will be the only one working and should know the ins and outs of your company.  Starting your own company is also going to cost you lots of time.  Whatever task you are doing for your business, you have to think about how long it is going to take and almost double the time.  This is because all the tasks that other departments handled is now handled by you.  All the tedious tasks build up and time is sucked out.  </p>
<p>2.	When starting a company, it should not cost you a lot of money.  Those that are concerned about licensing and incorporating, you may be wasting time and money.  You should not need to do all of that, especially if your company is small.  Once your business becomes more complex, you may start to look into incorporating or “LLC’ing”  Most businesses are fine with a website and running a domain.  Don’t go through the hassle and hoops lawyers may put your through to get some extra dollars from you.  By the way, if you do need some legal documents, instead of running it through an expensive lawyer, legalzoom may be able to help you with forms and such.</p>
<p>3.	Business networks are not always the best opportunity.  Sometimes the best is just right in front of your face; your customers.  If you have an opportunity to talk with them and network with them, do it.  The best advice is that if you are starting a business in your neighborhood, network like crazy locally.  </p>
<p>4.	Starting your own business does not mean a better family life.  It may be the complete opposite.  You think you may have more time, but the fact is that you will spend more time working.  Since you are no longer on the clock, whatever your business needs, you will be working on it all hours of the day/night.  Know that your finances will tend to merge (personal and business) and you may even be using your personal money to keep your business running.  This means you risk your family with unpaid bills and lack of supplies.  If you think you can deal with that, then you are one step closer to running a business.</p>

<p>Why is social media important for you?  Well first off, it is a cheap way to advertise your business.  Second, it reaches thousands and thousands of people.  If you are relying on your customers to spread the word by mouth, using a social media tool will be much more effective.  </p>
<p>If you still think your business will not be talked about on social media sites, let’s take a look at the numbers, shall we?  Facebook has about 500 million users.  Statistically, you are bound to have visitors, by mistake or by chance, with no effort.  If facebook was an actual country with land, it would be the third most populated place on earth!  Other social media sites such as youtube, twitter, and linkedin have millions of users as well.  Out of all that millions, don’t you think you can spread the word to a few of them?  It’s worth a try, no?</p>
<p>If nothing, by using a social media site, you can get your brand name out there.  This will help to make yourself known, at the very least.  If not that, you can have the site for your customers to leave feedback and to have a page where customers can search for you.  After all, how will they contact you if they try to search for you on facebook or twitter?<br />

Following some rules and keeping track of your progress in crucial to losing weight.</p>
<p>Following a 3 day rule will help you to follow a diet plan.  Avoid alcohol, sodas, sugary drinks, and snacks for 3 days.  Can you do it?  If you can, you can make a gradual transition to a more rigorous diet plan to help you slim down.  </p>
<p>If you cannot control cravings, at least write down what you had and keep track of what you had.  Also, noting what you did right before, or right after, or time of day will help you to determine what causes your cravings.  If you have the urge to do it again, start writing down some thinkgs that you can do.  List activities.  In about 5 to 10 minutes, you will notice that your cravings die down.  </p>
<p>Don’t go to AYCE restaurants (AYCE = All You Can Eat).  Although it may seem like a good value, you will pay for it later when the pounds start to pile on.  </p>
<p>Eating less food does not necessarily mean less calories.  Keep this in mind.  Next time you want to eat your favorite dish, find out what ingredients were used.  Were they low in calories?</p>
<p>Eat more fiber.  The good thing about fiber is not necessarily because it is good for your digestive tract, but also because it is good at keeping you fuller longer.  It stays in your system for a while, so you get a sense of fullness throughout the day.  However, because you are full, you may opt in to eat a smaller meal, but snacking may go up because of this.  Watch out for unnecessary snacking.</p>
<p>Have a plan.  Make a plan for what you are going to eat.  Have a weekly planner of what you will eat for dinner, and what you will eat for lunch.  Making plan and tracking your calories will help you to stay within your goal.</p>

<p>Let us look at eBay.  Meg Whitman helped create eBay, and while eBay was booming on the internet, entrepreneurs were able to build their company around eBay.  The most successful company was PowerSellers.  Today, a lot of entrepreneurs are still using eBay to help with their home buinsess.</p>
<p>Another similar company to eBay is Amazon.  Amazon was created by Jeff Bezos and he mimicked Meg Whitman to create this site.   A lot of people shop on Amazon because of all of the products that they offer.  However, what most people do not know is that 40% of all Amazon sales come from third-party sellers, and not direct from Amazon.  </p>
<p>Next, let’s look at Apple and Google.  They both created a phone when the smart phones were becoming popular.  Integrated in each companies phone is a marketplace for applications.  A lot of developers use the Apple market and the Google Android market to supplement their income by creating apps and using Apple and Google’s market to sell the apps.</p>
<p>Lastly, facebook.  Facebook is supposed to be a social internet tool, but many users used facebook to make some money – Zygna especially.  Facebook claims that it created 250k jobs and a 15 billion dollar ecosystem.</p>
<p>So, riding on someone’s back to build up your own business is not a bad idea, eh?  I am sure that you heard of Zygna if you play facebook games, and I’m sure you heard of the markets if you have a smart phone.  And at one point or another, I am sure that you bought something from Amazon or eBay.  Ride those companies and make sure your business is a success.</p>

<p>Researchers found that limiting protein consumption led to eating snacks to compensate.  </p>
<p>People tend to have a strong pull for protein.  Therefore, a low protein diet will usually cause the body to crave more energy in the form of carbs and fats, usually through snacks.  </p>
<p>The hypothesis about protein is that when the ratio of protein is lower than fat and carbs, this drives the body to want to consume more carbs and fats in place of protein, and therefore lead to obesity.  </p>
<p>In a study, 22 lean participants ate a special diet.  Patients did not know the content of protein in their meal.  After eating, participants were allowed to choose their snack from an inpatient meeting.  The special meal was either 10, 15, or 25% protein.</p>
<p>Researchers found that participants ate more energy (snacks) when they had a 10% protein diet compared to the 15% diet.  They ate about 70% more energy and came from snacks.  When looking at the 15% and 25% protein diet, there was no significant difference.  </p>
<p>They also found that the 10% protein diet participants were more hungrier after 1-2 hours compared to the 15 and 25% protein diet participants.  When looking that the 15 and 25% protein diet participants, there were no significant differences in hunger.</p>
<p>This means that out diet should consist of at least 15% protein.  This means eating less, and also choosing healthier foods subconsciously (because the body will not be craving for snacks filled with carbs and fats. </p>

We all want to discover the easiest way to lose the weight, or to prevent weight gain. It would be wonderful to find that magical pill that would help you to shed the weight, or at the very least stop you from gaining the extra pounds.</p>
<p>Weight gain is one of those inevitable things; one way or another you will start to gain weight. For some, it is after high school. For some, it is after they start going downhill (age 35). Whatever the case may be, if you change or maintain your healthy lifestyle and eating habits, you should be able to keep your figure, or even better, lose an extra pound or few.<br />
For the healthy lifestyle, you should have a gym membership, or exercise regularly. The keyword here is “regularly.” Going to the gym for three or more hours in one day is great, but if you are doing this once a week, you are not being effective. It is much better to go to the gym one hour a week over three days in a week than do it all at once. You should do some anaerobic exercises to help you lose even more weight.</p>
<p>For food control, you should keep one thing in mind and hold it above high in any case…water. It is the source of life, and without it people die; quickly. Water keeps us hydrated and also suppresses our hunger (because we fill it up with water). Going with that idea, if you drink one to two glasses of water before a meal, you will eat that much less. This brings me to the next point…</p>
<p>Smaller portions. You’d be surprised to find out that a lot of American’s are overeating. You should eat only until you feel satisfied and not full. This will not only be a more pleasant experience to you, but you will also limit the number of unnecessary calories entering the body. As you may or may not know the simple formula of calories, the calories in should be less than or equal to calories out for weight loss. So, if you eat more calories than you burn, this will lead to weight gain. Overeating and eating more calories than you need will lead to an incredibly rapid weight gain. It does take some training to limit what you eat. Practice and adjust accordingly.</p>
<p>Try with every effort to avoid the junk. Food…junk food. Stay away from it, and if you do see it, store it away from eye sight. If you see it, you want to eat it, especially if you just pass by it. But if it is out of sight, it should be out of mind. You can help to avoid junk food if you are the shopper for groceries. Just avoid the junk food aisle. If you do start craving for some sweets, there are alternatives, such as fruits. They will fill you up, satisfy your sweet tooth, and keep you healthy.</p>
<p>This next tip is beneficial for women. Eat around men. Women tend to eat less around men. This is psychological and when males are present, women tend to eat less calories.</p>
